This seminar will introduce participants to the Professional Standards Framework (PSF) which outlines 15 dimensions of teaching and learning to guide our practice. Through reflection on these dimensions, teachers can work towards a Fellowship of Advance HE which is the closest you can get to a teaching qualification in Higher Education. The award is globally recognised. The Fellowship application consists of a teaching portfolio, and the seminar will help participants identify, select and generate appropriate evidence of their own effectiveness as teachers.

What exactly is an AI Agent, and why is it different from ChatGPT? This session provides a high-level introduction to the next wave of AI. We will demystify common buzzwords like LLMs and Agentic Workflows through live demonstrations of OpenClaw in action—showing how it can automate data processing and daily tasks. Most importantly, we will address the "dark side" of automation, highlighting critical security issues and recent hacks to ensure you stay informed and protected in an AI-driven world.

VIBE Coding offers a practical approach to accelerating university operational excellence and institutional transformation. It combines human vision, strategic intent, and domain expertise with AI-supported design, development, testing, and deployment to create solutions faster and more effectively. This approach can help redesign processes, automate routine work, improve service quality, and strengthen responsiveness to institutional needs.

Last Spring, the CEI invited faculty and teaching staff to propose Education and Generative AI (EDGE-AI) projects to explore new teaching and learning methods for using generative AI technology in teaching and learning. A year on, these projects are yielding important findings for best teaching practices. In this workshop, two of our EDGE-AI projects share their work so far, their findings, and how these findings can help shape the new landscape of generative AI in teaching and learning.
