Holistic Competence Builder (HCB)
Project Title: Driving Cultural and Educational Shift: Providing Support, Activities and Professional Development in the Pedagogy, Assessment and Evidence of Student Learning in Holistic Competencies
Holistic Competence Builder (HCB) is a resource gallery that aims to develop students' competencies for success in the complex and volatile world. The resources were developed through a UGC Funding Scheme for Teaching and Learning Related Proposals (2016-2019 Triennium) project, focusing on cultivating holistic competencies to excel personally and professionally in the 21st century. The website offers two main streams of resources, intercultural competence and professional competence, each supported by discussion cases, tools and strategies, and advice from industry professionals.

Internationalisation of Teaching and Learning
Project Title: Internationalising Teaching and Learning in Hong Kong Higher Education through Building Professional Capacity
The purposes of the project were to enhance the professional capacity of staff members across partner institutions in Hong Kong to integrate international, intercultural, and global dimensions into teaching and learning practices. The project developed professional development modules and resources, promoted knowledge sharing and exemplary practices, and explored key themes such as global citizenship, diversity, ethical and inclusive teaching, student mobility, and inter-institutional collaboration. In addition, the project adopted the community-of-practice approach to facilitate engagement, networking, and communication among staff members from different disciplines and institutions.
2. UGC Special Grant for Strategic Development of Virtual Teaching and Learning

Institutional Initiative
Project Title: Gamified Professional Development Programs for Virtual Teaching and Learning
The project aims to create a self-access platform for virtual teaching and learning to provide an all-inclusive professional development program for staff in various educational roles. The platform adopted gamification's motivational design, allowing participants to choose their learning journey based on their needs and preferences. In addition, the platform has different learning pathways for colleagues to become knowledge experts in online learning within their departments, for teaching support staff and assistants to master virtual classroom producer skills, and for faculty, teaching staff, and trainers to be engaging virtual classroom facilitators.

Inter-Institutional Collaborative Activities
Project Title: Establishing Effective Virtual Teaching Strategies to Support Learning beyond the Classroom
The project aims to explore, develop, implement, document, and promote effective virtual teaching and learning (VTL) strategies to enhance and expand learning beyond traditional classes. The project comprises three initiatives, including (1) enhancing new learning venues, (2) creating new intercultural collaboration, and (3) new extra-curricular learning opportunities. In addition, the project collects good practices and innovative ideas, documents and disseminates good practices through Community of Practice meetings, professional development workshops, and webinars, and provides technical and pedagogical services support to teachers.
3. UGC Teaching Development and Language Enhancement Grant (2022-25 Triennium)
Inter-Institutional Collaborative Activities
Project Title: Co-Creating the Future of Education: A Student Partnership Project
The project proposes a collaborative effort among three Hong Kong universities to explore and enhance SaP initiatives in higher education. Through collaboration, the project will create innovative pedagogical models, develop a student partnership resource hub, improve professional development, formulate evaluation frameworks, establish a community of practice on student partnership, and ultimately advance SaP in Hong Kong higher education.
