Discover Lucid on Canvas – An Alternative to Miro!
Start Date

Miro has long been a favourite among faculty and teaching staff for enhancing student engagement, creativity, and group projects. Now, we are excited to introduce the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite as an excellent alternative to Miro. Fully integrated into Canvas, Lucid offers free access to all HKUST instructors and students.

Getting started with Lucid is simple. You can easily create and launch a Lucid whiteboard directly within your Canvas course site, making your collaborative teaching activities more dynamic than ever. Students will find it intuitive to participate in these dynamic visual workspaces.

Lucid provides a collaborative whiteboard with an infinite digital canvas, perfect for brainstorming, planning, and group projects. Its real-time collaboration features allow multiple users to simultaneously edit the same whiteboard, making ideation and brainstorming sessions smooth and productive.

Lucid offers a wide range of intuitive tools, including:

  • Virtual sticky notes, shapes, diagrams, and text formatting options to help users capture and organize ideas visually and spatially.
  • A wide array of pre-designed templates, including mind maps, process diagrams and collaborative visual activities to simplify setting up new learning tasks and keep students engaged.
  • AI-powered features that generate ideas, extend brainstorming sessions, uncover key themes, and summarize work efficiently, elevating the collaborative experience.
