With Mixed-Mode teaching, you have the flexibility to interact with your students both in-person and online. You can even invite guest speakers from overseas to bring diversity and enhance your teaching experience. This approach ensures that everyone stays connected and engaged, regardless of their physical location.

Starting this semester, this course is part of the Academy of Education Excellence (AEE) program and is available online in a self-paced format. Upon completion, you will receive online badges issued by the AEE at HKUST.

Hello to the new Spring semester! As we continue to resume in-person teaching and learning on campus, we want to continue to increase your awareness of Mixed Mode Teaching as an alternative when the need arises.

Mixed Mode Teaching is when a teacher delivers a class synchronously for both in-class and online participants. This teaching mode allows us to deliver courses smoothly while accommodating speakers/students from overseas or those who cannot attend the class physically.

Hello to the new Fall semester! We’ve come a long way since the outbreak of COVID-19 and we have shown that we can be agile, and we can adapt.

Moving forward, the University is making effort to resume teaching and learning in-person on campus. However, our ability to deliver courses in Mixed Mode teaching is still crucial in case we need to suddenly switch to this form of delivery.
