Creating an Interactive Video-based Learning Environment | SPRING 2026

Instructional videos are essential in blended and online courses, but students can easily become passive viewers. With our homegrown Video Management System (VMS) and In-video Activities (IVA) tools, you can transform videos into interactive, student-centered learning experiences.

With VMS, you can:

• Centralize and manage all your course videos in one platform
• Share videos and collaborate with TAs or colleagues
• Generate and edit subtitles easily
• Gain insights into student viewing behavior

With IVA, you can:

• Embed interactive questions directly into videos
• Keep students engaged with active learning prompts
• Track student performance with analytics reports
• Provide instant feedback to support learning

By the end of this hands-on session, you’ll be able to:

• identify the benefits of video-based learning
• describe the benefits of both VMS and IVA
• use VMS to manage all instructional videos
• use IVA to embed questions directly into videos
