Introducing Group Member Evaluation –
A new tool to enhance peer feedback for student group work (gradually replacing iPeer)

Join us for a workshop that will revolutionize peer feedback and evaluation for student group work. Say goodbye to iPeer and welcome the powerful new tool, Group Member Evaluation (GME) by FeedbackFruits.

Peer feedback is an essential learning activity that helps students recognize the contributions and qualities of excellent work and identify areas for improvement. It fosters metacognitive skills and cultivates a healthy culture of peer feedback within classrooms.

For many years, iPeer was the go-to tool at HKUST for facilitating these activities. However, CEI is excited to introduce Group Member Evaluation by FeedbackFruits, a more robust replacement for peer evaluation in student group work.

Compared to iPeer, Group Member Evaluation offers seamless integration with Canvas and a well-designed workflow. It smoothly incorporates peer feedback and ratings into both graded and non-graded tasks. Additionally, in this AI era, it features an AI-powered feedback writing coach to help students enhance their feedback writing skills.

While iPeer will still be available during the 2024-25 academic year, please note that it will cease functioning entirely by Summer 2025.

• recall the key functions and features of Group Member Evaluation
• use Group Member Evaluation to facilitate the design and implementation of peer feedback activities within your courses
