Department: Center for Language Education (CLE)
Funding Year: 2023/24
Description:

As traditional evaluations become less effective due to remote learning and AI, multimodal skills are increasingly important. This project aims to gauge the impact of multimodal assessments on students' ability to transfer skills between academic and real-world contexts. Through CORE1403, this project examines the relationship between students’ effectiveness communicating through multimedia and their ability to apply these skills across academic and real-world settings. Insights from this project will inform curriculum improvements and advance recommended assessment practices which foster critical thinking, creativity, and effective knowledge communication.
