A Rookie’s Blended Learning Journey
Overview:
In this talk, Prof. Cheung Ki Ling shared his personal experiences of converting a course (ISOM4770 Supply Chain Management), which he has been teaching for 20 years, into a blended learning one. Leveraging on the course’s strong emphasis on case-based learning, the teaching approach is interactive in nature, with case discussion, games and project presentation to engage students in class. His goal of using a blended approach is to integrate the best aspects of both face-to-face and online learning for students’ benefit. However, as a rookie of blended learning, more than often he had to do it by trial and error. But at the end all the efforts did pay off.
