Description
Flip is a video-based discussion platform where students can share, reflect, and respond to peers’ video posts, creating a collaborative learning environment. It functions like a traditional text-based discussion board but gives the students a chance to respond with their own video and voice.
The Flip app is available on Android and iOS devices, and you can integrate your discussions on Canvas course sites.

Functionality
- Create discussion topics and share with students using the join link or code
- Record and edit your video to respond and interact with students, 10 minutes maximum
- Create graded discussions on Canvas Assignment, and submissions will automatically reflect on SpeedGrader
- Insert, edit, rearrange and download auto-generated video captions
- Moderate videos and comments by hiding them while being reviewed
Usage
For in-class activities: Create a gallery view activity. Embed the recorded videos explaining specific topics and placed them in the classroom where students can walk around and scan the QR codes to learn about each topic.
For online activities: Create discussion groups where students can respond with textual comments or video recordings.
