Overview:

The development of employability—students’ abilities to negotiate the graduate labour market—is the responsibility of educators, students and leaders; however, teachers are by far the most important and influential people in students’ higher education experience. This workshop addresses how to overcome limited time, expertise and resources to develop employability within the existing curriculum.

In this session, Prof. Barry Posner (Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University, located in Silicon Valley, and former Dean of the School), co-author of The Leadership Challenge, and more than a dozen other leadership books, and former visiting professor at HKUST, has explained the key components of a collegiate leadership development program and show how these are applied in his own undergraduate leadership course.

Overview:

This series of workshops provided the participants with the techniques for incorporating intercultural perspectives in their curriculum, and the facilitation skills that are useful for in an intercultural classroom. Participants also gained a better understanding on the pedagogical good practices for engaging students in their intercultural classroom.
