Description:

The impending demolition of Nga Tsin Wai Road in Kowloon City District by Hong Kong's Urban Renewal Authority (URA) raises pressing concerns: How can we harness Virtual Reality (VR) to safeguard this local heritage? And how can we enlighten the younger generation about VR's significant role in urban development? By melding oral history and a 360-degree environment, this project aims to deepen the appreciation of Kowloon City District's culture and history among students, engaging them in data-collection, 360-degree photography, video creation, and crafting interactive videos. The final platform will offer viewers an immersive exploration of each shop, enriched with documented oral interviews and interactive information.
