Facilitated by the Center for Education Innovation (CEI), the Academy of Education Excellence (AEE) fosters a culture of teaching excellence at HKUST. It recognizes effective teaching, supports continued professional development, and creates opportunities for faculty members to exchange practices across disciplines.

Full-time UST faculty members with teaching and learning responsibilities may apply for recognition as a Junior Fellow, Fellow, or Senior Fellow. Fellowship is awarded on the basis of evidence and professional reflection across the six AEE Dimensions of Teaching Excellence.

Why apply for AEE Fellowship?

  • Gain recognition of your teaching achievements.
  • Document evidence that may support performance review, retitling, career advancement, and applications for teaching awards or other recognition.
  • Reflect on your practice and identify priorities for continued development.
  • Join a cross-University community for networking, practice sharing, and collaborative projects.
  • Extend the reach of your teaching through activities within and beyond HKUST.

The AEE Community

AEE Fellows build professional networks, exchange effective practices, and contribute to teaching and learning projects across HKUST and beyond. Opportunities may include workshops, learning communities, mentoring, application review, teaching innovation projects, publications, and the AEE Colloquium.
